The leading beef broth brand contains 830 mg of sodium. No MSG Added† †Except for that Which Naturally Occurs in Tomato and Mushroom Cooking stock is a central ingredient for soups, sauces and marinades. It is used by many to flavor vegetables, potatoes and rice dishes. For years, making stock from scratch has been the only way health-conscious cooks have been able to control and limit ingredients, such as salt and artificial ingredients.
Preparation & Usage
Ready to use. Do not dilute. Shake well. Helpful Usage Tips Use in any recipe calling for broth, stock, bouillon or water. Moisten leftovers with stock before reheating in microwave. Sauces & Gravies For richly flavored gravy, add stock instead of water to roast beef pan drippings and thicken as desired. For a savory pan sauce, pan fry steak in butter. Remove from pan. Add stock, stirring to loosen brown bits in bottom of pan. Cook until sauce is slightly reduced. Swirl in cold butter. Serve over steak. Grains & Lentils Replace water with stock when preparing rice, barley, couscous, quinoa or lentils. Shake it up! [The carton & your cooking]
